EKTI ONNO PREMER GOLPO
Coming Soon — A Bengali short film about love, acceptance, dignity, and the right of people with disabilities to make their own choices. Featuring Amika Bhattacharya, a young woman with Down syndrome.
A STORY ABOUT EQUALITY, AUTONOMY, AND SEEING BEYOND LABELS
"At what point does society decide that someone's capacity to love requires a permission slip?"
A Different Love Story (একটি অন্য প্রেমের গল্প) is a poignant Bengali short film about love, acceptance, dignity, and the right of people with disabilities to make their own choices.
Featuring Amika Bhattacharya, a young woman with Down syndrome, the film challenges society’s deeply entrenched assumptions and asks whether people with disabilities are given the same freedom to fall in love, marry, and pursue their dreams.
More than a romantic narrative, the film is an urgent, poetic message about human equality, emotional autonomy, and the universal right to live without being confined by diagnostic labels.
